Hey Everyone!
So, I am getting lots of questions about how I maintain a healthy body. In response to this I have decided to start up a Question and Answer section. If you would like any advice on healthy cooking or exercise please feel free to send me an email with your question and I will try my best to provide you with some answers based on the things I have found helpful :) Please send all questions or even advice you may have to jesinta@people.net.au. I will also be posting helpful exercises I do and some of my favourite healthy recipes...

This was quoted by Nelson Mandela in his inaugural speech. It is something that has inspired me since I was young and it is something that I truly believe in. There is no point in spending time worrying if you are adequate, worthy or what others may think of you. Hiding behind your fears does not only fail to serve youself it more importantly fails to serve the world in which you live. Go out on a limb, take a risk, go after your dreams, make a statement...BE PASSIONATE! We live in a society, especially here in Australia, where we like to pull down those who are acheiving, aka "Tall poppy syndrom" but it is so important to have self belief and go after what you want and be proud of your achievements.

So go out there and serve the world by going after what you want and achieving your dreams!!

Miss Universe State Finals 2010 xx

It is such an honour to be choosen to represent NSW in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant. Backstage before the show the mood was very different from the stereotyped "catty" image that often surrounds Beauty pageants. I can honestly say all of the girls are not only physically beautiful but each possess an inner beauty. Everyone was extremely chatty and friendly backstage and it was really inspiring to talk to other young women about their ambitions and dreams in life. I am so excited for the crowning ceremony which will be held at Sydney's Sofitel on 17th June, 2010. I have kept in contact with alot of the girls who are representing NSW and I am looking forward to a catch up with some of them this weekend. xx

Busy little Bumble Bee!!

Wow!! The past 4 weeks have gone by so quickly...I feel as if I have been caught in a whirlwind of activity so I suppose I should begin with what has happened during that time.

Rosemount Australia Fashion week (3rd-7th MAY) was alot of fun as usual. I walked for Caroline Fuss, Elliot Ward-Fear, Nicholas Christensen, Christopher Dobosz and Whitesands swimwear. I really loved Fuss' range and I opened the show in an equisite silk dress...not only was it a dream to wear it was super comfortable as it was made from 100% silk!! The Whitesands swimwear show was super fun. Leah Madden, the designer, is such an amazing lady to work for. She is super talented and her friendly nature provided backstage prep with a vibrant upbeat energy.

I then had the preliminary heats for Miss Universe Australia at Rosehill racecourse. It was a great day and I made it through to the State finals which were held last Saturday 22nd May. I was choosen as one of the 9 NSWfinalists which means I will compete at the Crowning ceremony on the 17th June at the Sofitel Hotel in Sydney. I am extremely excited about this opportunity and have been really blessed to have met some amazing young women along the way. Everyone brings something different to the competition and its inspiring to be surrounded by such ambitious and motivated individuals!!

Between all of this I have been busy casting for brands like Bonds, Undercoverwear, Elle Mcpherson Intimates, Bras n things, Honey and Beau and Womens Health.

I have a busy day tomorrow so I better head off to bed...!

A few days home in the Sunshine state :)

Well things have been rather busy with castings in the lead up to Sydney's annual Rosemount Fashion week but I decided to come home for a for days to have a little bit of down time before things really start to get busy!! I always love coming home to my family on the Gold Coast...I haven't seen them since Christmas and its just the best feeling coming back to my hometown where I grew up. I have caught up with a few of my close friends and although I don't get to see them as often as I would like to it makes the time that I do spend with them even more valuable :)
The next few months are going to be really busy so I will try to keep to blog as much as possible and even post some backstage pictures from Fashion week and Miss Universe Australia heats...
